Registration Policies
All registrations must be completed through our secure, online registration portal. Upon submitting a registration, a $500.00 deposit, per camper, is required.
Your payment options:
Pay in full by December 1, 2024, (receive a 4% discount of your session fee)
Pay in monthly installments (February 1, March 1, April 1, May 1)
Pay in full on May 1, 2025

Cancellation Policy
Prior to December 1, cancellations are subject to a $150 administrative fee.
Between December 1 and January 31, cancellations are subject to a $250 administrative fee.
Between February 1 and April 30 the $500 deposit is non-refundable.
For cancellations made after May 1, no refunds will be issued.
Shortening/Changes:
Changes to enrollment will not be made after May 1, 2025. Changes must be able to be accommodated by the camp. All requests for changes must be made in writing. Changes to registration (excluding cancellations) can be made at no penalty until January 31, 2025. Shortening the registration period after this date will be considered a partial cancellation and the cancellation fee will apply.
Daily Lunch and Snacks
We fuel more than just the imagination! Ivy campers savour a variety of healthy and delicious daily snacks and lunches, prepared by our on-site caterer. Check back in the spring to browse our 2025 menu.
Transportation
Our camp is conveniently located at Havergal College, on the corner of Avenue Road and Lawrence Ave. We are fortunate to have a central location perfect for driving, carpooling, walking or biking!
Our enriching Before Care and After Care programs are perfect for families that require additional flexibility for pick-up and drop-off times.
At The Ivy, we have the privilege of beginning and ending each day connecting directly with caregivers and staying true to our core belief of engaging caregivers as partners.
We are committed to a hand to hand arrival and departure experience, as it is one which provides for a close connection with our families and camp community. We strongly believe this positively helps integrate and transitions children into camp life; ultimately, enhancing their summer-camp journey.
For your convenience and to offer the same holistic opportunity for connection, we offer an optional before camp program (7:30am – 8:30am) and/or after camp program (4:00pm – 6:00pm). Both optional programs include an early morning and afternoon snack, and a continuation of our high quality activities!
Our before and after camp program is perfect for parents who require flexibility in their day!
Communication
We know that effective communication builds understanding and trust. We work together to support your camper’s well-being and development at camp.
AT THE IVY YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Regular camp updates beginning monthly until May and weekly from May through the summer months. Watch your email for ‘The Eye on The Ivy!’
- Specific information on your camper’s application will be confidentially reviewed and shared with your child’s Unit Head, Counsellors and/or our Health Centre team
- A phone call to confirm any information that we may have questions about
- An introductory letter from your camper’s Unit Head prior to starting camp
- An opportunity to meet your camper’s Unit Head prior to camp starting
- A phone call from your camper’s Counsellor prior to starting their stay at camp
- A phone call or personal note should your child visit the Health Centre during their stay at camp
- A follow-up phone call from your camper’s Counsellor after the first week of camp
- A progress report from your child’s Swim Instructor
- Dedicated and personable office staff who are a phone call away (they are the link between home and camp!)

Registration
Can my child be grouped in a cabin with their friends?
We make every effort to ensure that each child receives 1 mutual friend request. You may submit your friend request upon registration or email us at camp@theivy.ca.
Can I make changes to camp registration?
Changes to enrollment will not be made after May 1. Changes must be able to be accommodated by the camp. All requests for changes must be made in writing. What are the hours of camp?
Campers may be dropped off between 8:30am – 9:15am and picked up between 3:30pm – 4:15pm. We do offer an optional before-care and after-care program. Please email us at camp@theivy.ca to request more information about this program.
How is the camp day structured?
Our Ivy Kinder Campers (Pre K – SK) partake in an eclectic selection of programs designed to promote all essential areas of growth for our youngest campers. Cabins rotate from one activity to another throughout the day.
Our Ivy Inter (Grades 1-3) Campers and Ivy Elder Campers (Grades 4-7) begin to select their own programming for portions of their day, allowing them to explore their interests and build new skills.
All campers receive instructional and recreational swim periods, supervised by trained instructors and certified lifeguards.
Are swimming lessons on-site?
Yes, we offer on-site Life Saving Society swim instruction in Havergal College’s 25-metre competition pool. We maintain an in-water camper-to-instructor ratio of 4:1.
Are lunches and snacks provided?
Yes, 0ur campers enjoy a menu of delicious and healthy prepared lunches and snacks. Our on-site catering is provided through Havergal College and prepared with an intentional balance of nutrition and taste.
We have an On-site Allergy Management Specialist and Nutritionist to support and satisfy all palates, dietary needs, and picky eaters.
Health and Safety
What do you do when campers are not feeling well?
Campers facing illness or injury during their day are attended to by our two on-site Registered Nurses and on-site First Aiders. We have a fully functioning wellness centre which is supervised daily by a full-time Senior Registered Nurse.

Staff
How do you select staff?
All staff members attend a thorough interview process and have three strong professional references. Positions at The Ivy are very competitive and in addition to having past childcare experience, all staff members must be responsible and have a passion for working with children. Staff over the age of 18 are required to submit a vulnerable sector screening.
